What
Some Unicode characters look almost exactly like <, > or / but are different characters. Claude Code already converted some of these in text it displays. It now handles a larger set, along with their HTML-entity forms (written codes such as < that stand for a character). Each one is either turned into the ordinary character it imitates or replaced with ?.
The newly covered characters include three more angle-bracket lookalikes, which are now turned into < or >:

Why
Lookalike characters can make text appear to contain a tag or a path that is not really there. Converting more of them makes that kind of disguise harder.
