Claude Code already converted some of these in text it displays. It now handles a larger set, along with their HTML-entity forms (written codes such as `<` that stand for a character). Each one is either turned into the ordinary character it imitates or replaced with `?`.\n\nThe newly covered characters include three more angle-bracket lookalikes, which are now turned into `<` or `>`:\n\n- U+1BF3F\n\n- U+1D1B6\n\n- U+1D1B7\n\n**Why**\n\nLookalike characters can make text appear to contain a tag or a path that is not really there. Converting more of them makes that kind of disguise harder.\n\n- Area: Terminal UI\n- Tier: You'll notice\n- Useful: 1\/5\n- Signal: 1\/5\n- Scope: individual\n- Heads-up: no"}
