What

A tool call is an action Claude takes, such as running a command or editing a file. When one of your permission rules blocks a tool call, the conversation now shows a dim "Not run" and "permission denied" line. Before, it used the generic display for rejected tool calls. Results from tool calls that have ended also lose the blank space above them.

Why

The transcript is tidier and shows plainly that the action was stopped by a rule.
