What

Claude Code takes a snapshot of your shell, which is a saved copy of things like your shell functions, so the commands it runs behave as they do in your own terminal. When listing your functions, it used to treat a whole line of the listing as the function's name. It now takes only the last word, which is the name itself.

Two smaller changes come with it:

  • A new condition makes Claude Code refresh its remotely managed settings in some local sessions.
  • Login state now records when you switch login.
Why

Shell functions can now be carried into Claude Code's commands under the right names.
