What

An output style changes how Claude writes its replies, and a custom one can include a waiting reminder for turns where Claude is waiting. The rule for when that reminder is used has been rewritten. It now depends on a mode check, and a task running in the background only counts when that check and one more condition both hold.

Why

If you use a custom output style with a waiting reminder, it may now appear at different times than before.
