What
The model picker is the list you choose a model from. Before, it was built only from a fixed set of models plus the models available to you. It now also takes in models from a published list. Entries outside the deprecated section can be added to the picker or given new labels.
A model family named fable appears only when its availability check passes. Its first-party entry is also added when that model is marked disabled for your account.
Why
The picker's contents can now change without a new release of Claude Code.
