MCP servers (outside tools connected through the Model Context Protocol) can be told which folders Claude Code is working in. When you change the additional working directories, Claude Code now sends that notice at once, rather than after first loading the code that sends it. If the notice fails, the message is the same as before: "Failed to notify MCP servers of roots change:".
