Eager input streaming means Claude Code sends a tool's input as it is being written, rather than all at once at the end. On Google Cloud's Agent Platform (Vertex) and on Amazon Bedrock, Claude Code used to find the value that turns this on inside an eager-input-streaming section of its configuration. It now reads it directly under each provider's own name.
Two things are unchanged:
- On Vertex, eager input streaming is still skipped when
ANTHROPIC_VERTEX_BASE_URLis set. - With Anthropic's own API, it still depends on a server switch that is off unless it is turned on remotely.
This changes which configuration layout turns on early streaming of tool input for people who use Vertex or Bedrock.
tengu_fgts Off by default, switched on for this accountThe shipped code defaults this off, and the flag server returned on for the one account this site reads on this version. That is the reading that makes the entry above worth a second look, and it still says nothing about your account.
This account: on · anonymous baseline: on · compiled default in v2.1.314: off
These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.
Read once, for one account on one subscription tier, against v2.1.314. It isn't a statement about your account. What a flag value here can and cannot tell you
