What
Typing @ followed by a file name points Claude at a file. When a mentioned file is not included in full, Claude Code tells Claude about it instead. Before, all such files went into one list. Now they are split into two, with PDFs in a group of their own that Claude is told to read plainly.
Mentioned files that the session is already keeping track of are now skipped.
Why
This changes how Claude is told about files you mention but that are not shown to it directly, and treats PDFs separately from other files.
