What

A tool call is an action Claude takes, such as reading a file or running a command, and Claude Code shows a small status marker beside each one. Before, the marker had three states: error, unresolved and success. It now has a fourth, neutral state. A neutral marker is drawn dim and without color. Screen readers do not announce it as a tool error.

Why

This is a small display change. A tool call in the neutral state shows as neither failed nor successful.
