What
A plugin adds extra features to Claude Code and comes from a marketplace, a catalogue of plugins. Claude Code now sends usage data (analytics) in two cases:
Viewing a plugin's directory listing.
Opening a link from it.
Each record includes the plugin's name, its marketplace and where in Claude Code it was shown. Nothing is sent if the plugin's id fails a validity check.
Why
It shows that a plugin directory view in Claude Code is now being measured.
