The effort level controls how much work Claude puts into a reply. Claude Code tells the model the level when it changes. Before, it did so whenever the level differed. It now keeps track of which turns were answered, and does not re-send the level for your messages that got no reply.
Why
The model gets fewer repeated notes about the effort level.
