What
MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers are outside programs that give Claude extra tools. Claude Code no longer picks up a handed_listing value from MCP server settings.
- The step that expands MCP config now returns only the config, errors and
asWrittenEntries. It no longer returnshandedListings. - Entries passed with
--mcp-config, the flag for loading MCP servers from JSON files or strings, no longer have handed listings collected from them. OnlyasWrittenEntriesis kept. - A related internal map of as-written entries was removed.
Why
A ready-made listing supplied in the settings is no longer passed along at startup. If your MCP settings include handed_listing, expect it to have no effect.
