Unclear It is not confirmed that print mode now ends background shells when stopped.
What
Print mode is the non-interactive way of running Claude Code, where it answers once and exits. Its internal list of reason labels has changed:
print_stop_ends_moved_shell was added.
print_unattended_start was added.
print_left_running_note was removed.
When a turn is ended by an interrupt, Claude Code now also records that the turn was retired by a stop.
Why
The label names suggest that stopping a print-mode run may now end shell commands that had been moved to the background, rather than leaving them running.
