What
Some user messages carry a turnCompanion mark. These are added alongside a turn rather than typed by you as the turn's prompt. Two places that look for "the first user message" now skip them:
Input attachments, meaning extra content added to your input, are now inserted after the first user message that is not a turn companion. Before, they always went in at the second position in the message list.
A helper that finds the first user message now passes over messages with turnCompanion set. Before, it took the first user message of any kind. What the helper is used for, such as titles or summaries, was not confirmed.
Why
Attachments now sit in a different place in the prompt sent to the model. Text injected as a companion is also no longer treated as the conversation's first prompt.
