What

A permission rule is a saved instruction that lets a tool run, stops it, or makes Claude Code ask you first. When you delete one in the permissions screen, Claude Code now also writes a line into the conversation:

  • when it works, a line saying which kind of rule was deleted
  • when it fails, a line saying the rule could not be deleted and is unchanged

Before, the only message was the one inside the dialog.

Why

You now have a record in the conversation of rule changes you made.
