What
Sometimes Claude Code has to leave images out of what it sends to Claude, for example in a long conversation with many images. Before, it put in a short note saying how many were left out. Now it adds a text placeholder. When saving is available, it also adds a note pointing to the file where the left-out image was saved.
The usage data Claude Code records about image input also gains a field marking images that go over a limit.
