Diff pane no longer pops open empty or right after you close it

The /diff pane shows changes in your working tree, including edits Claude has made. Claude Code can open it for you automatically. That automatic opening now waits for any refresh of the changes that is already under way, then backs off if:

• you opened or closed /diff yourself in the meantime
• the pane is already open
• the refreshed list shows no changed files

After it backs off, Claude Code can try again later, after Claude takes an action. Closing the pane by hand now counts as you toggling it yourself.

Before, it only checked whether the pane was open or still loading.
