What
Claude Code sends usage data about AGENTS.md files. Before this change, it sent that data every time a session started or a prompt was prepared.
It now sends it once per session and mode. Claude Code remembers that it already sent the data. Processes running without an interactive terminal check that record and skip sending again.
Setting the environment variable CLAUDE_CODE_AGENTS_MD_ROWS_EVERY_PROCESS turns this off, so every process sends the data again.
Why
This cuts duplicate usage reports from extra processes, such as copies of a session or runs without a terminal.
