What
A tool call is a single action Claude takes, such as running a command or editing a file. Some of these can be approved automatically by a classifier, a checker that decides on your behalf. When such an automatic approval is handed on to run remotely, Claude Code now checks again whether the target still allows a classifier to approve the call.
If it no longer does, the call does not run. Claude is told that the target no longer lets a classifier approve the call, and that the request is still waiting for a person to answer.
Why
This stops a call from running on an automatic approval after the rules changed to require a person, so a change to your permission rules takes effect even for calls already in flight.
