What
Claude Code keeps track of the different kinds of context it puts into a conversation. Reads of project documents are now one of those kinds. The usage data Claude Code records now notes whether a run included them, and how often the same one showed up again later.
Why
Repeated project document reads can now be spotted as duplicated context, the same way other kinds already are.
