What
The tool Claude Code uses to read and write project documents can now check whether a document's content is already in the conversation. It counts content as present when it arrived as an attached file, when the tool wrote it itself, or when it came back from an earlier read. Claude Code can also now display a new kind of attachment that lists project document reads.
Why
This likely lets Claude Code avoid sending the same project document into the conversation twice.
