Unclear Which tools are affected and what the alternate text says is not shown.
Each tool Claude Code can use comes with written instructions telling the model how to use it. A new remote switch now picks between two versions of that text in at least three places, one of them in a tool's own instructions.
The switch is off unless it is switched on remotely. With no setting from Anthropic's servers, the existing text is used.
This lets Anthropic try alternate tool instructions for some accounts, so the model may be told to use those tools differently where it is switched on.
