What
Claude Code sometimes shows an urgent tip, a short notice it considers important. That banner was always a padded box. It can now also show as a single compact line with a small symbol in front, when a particular setting inside Claude Code is on.
The rule for whether the tip appears has also changed. Before, Claude Code compared the tip against the last urgent tip it had shown you. It now works this out from the tip together with a second value.
Why
Urgent tips may look different and take up less room on screen, and you may see them at different times than before.
