What
CronCreate is a tool Claude uses to rerun a prompt at fixed clock times. Monitor is a tool that watches a log file, process or command output and reports the moment something changes. In this release the instructions Claude reads for CronCreate changed:
"Not for live watching": this section, which points to Monitor, now always appears. Before, it showed only when a certain feature was switched on.
Durability or Session-only: a new section explains whether scheduled jobs last beyond the current session, depending on whether lasting jobs are turned on.
Why
Claude is steered away from setting up repeated scheduled checks to watch a log, and towards Monitor, which reacts as soon as something changes.
