What
CLAUDE_CODE_REMOTE_SESSION_ORIGIN records where a remote session was started from. Claude Code now reads it from the session's environment variables on every platform and uses it whenever it is text. Before, this lookup only gave a result on Windows.
Why
Remote sessions now carry their origin the same way on macOS and Linux as on Windows, so behaviour that depends on the origin is no longer limited to Windows.
