What
MCP servers are outside services that give Claude extra tools through the Model Context Protocol. The status Claude Code reports for each server can now include three more details:
the connection type it uses
whether its connection goes through the session
the host part of its web address
These are internal fields for apps that display Claude Code's state.
Why
Apps showing Claude Code from somewhere else, which may not be able to see your server settings, can still show the server and decide whether to offer a sign-in button for it.
