Unclear It is not stated which mode now skips these steps.
What
Some steps were already skipped when Claude Code runs in certain modes. The same steps are now also skipped in another mode:
- reading credentials from a well-known file
- cleaning up a cached copy of remote settings
- the OAuth sign-in check
Reading the credential file is also skipped in a couple of further cases.
Why
This looks like a mode where Claude Code does not use your stored credentials or sign-in.
