What
When you exit, Claude Code can show a screen listing things still running in the background. That list used to be built from tasks only. It is now built from tasks and MCP clients. MCP (Model Context Protocol) clients are Claude Code's connections to outside servers that give Claude extra tools.
Why
The exit screen may now warn you about MCP items that are still running, as well as tasks.
