What
Claude Code has two places where it saves credentials, meaning your sign-in details, to disk. Both now stop straight away when the session has no disk to write to. Claude Code logs a message saying it skipped disk persistence.
Before, a single check covered this case, and it only looked for whether Claude Code was running inside a tool server's background process. That check is now separate from the new no-disk check.
Why
This affects only remote and cloud sessions, where Claude Code runs on a machine other than your own.
