Unclear It is not clear whether --include-unsupported-models is an option you can pass yourself, or what it changes in the model list.

What

At startup Claude Code now saves a setting called includeUnsupportedModels into its configuration, taken from the options it was started with.

The usage data Claude Code sends at startup also gains information about the size of MCP lists. MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers are add-ons that give Claude extra tools. This information is included only when the session runs its conversation on your own machine.

Why

The new setting may affect which models appear in the model list.
