Before Claude Code writes a file, a safety check compares the path with the session's config folder. When the session has no config folder, Claude Code now refuses the write and says: "This session has no config folder to check the path against, so the write is denied. A retry is denied the same way."
Why
When the check cannot be done, the write is refused rather than let through. Trying again will not help.
