What

Thinking is the reasoning Claude writes before answering. An organization is the account group you sign in under. The notice shown when earlier thinking came from another organization now says:

  • the earlier thinking was written while you were signed in to another organization, so Claude can't use it now
  • the thinking is not deleted
  • resuming the session while signed in to that organization brings it back
  • otherwise the next responses may be slower and use more tokens
Why

If you switch accounts and resume an older session, you know why replies may be slower and cost more, and how to avoid it.
