What
When Claude Code stops a process it started, it used to always send the standard stop signal and then poll until the process was gone. Now:
- It reports a permission problem straight away when a safety check fails.
- It can send a signal other than the standard stop signal.
- It runs a second check that the process is really gone before reporting it as exited.
Why
In practice stopping processes should be more reliable.
