What
The desktop app keeps a list of the outside servers it connects to, grouped by purpose. The list has a new group for downloading the spellcheck dictionary. It applies only on Linux and names the server the dictionary is downloaded from.
The new group is covered by the disableNonessentialServices setting, which switches off connections that are not needed for Claude Code to work.
Why
If your organisation uses a firewall allow-list (a list of the only servers a computer may reach), there is one more server to consider for Linux machines that use spellcheck.
