What
When you are using Claude Code from the Claude desktop app or from claude.ai on the web, and you ask for something that needs a browser while no browser extension is connected, Claude Code can now answer with a fixed message. The message tells you to set up a browser using the card the app may be showing, or at https://claude.ai/chrome.
This reply does not come from the model; the model is not called at all for it. It only applies in the desktop app and on the web, and only when the tengu_fizzy_minsky setting is on. When the server sends no value for that setting, the code falls back to off.
Why
This gives a direct route to connecting Chrome in the desktop and web apps, instead of the model trying a browser task it cannot carry out.
