What
An MCP server is an outside program that gives Claude Code extra tools. When Claude Code asks one to publish something and the reply does not say whether the publish happened, Claude Code now raises a specific error. A set of publish options also appears: force, capabilities, thumbnail, thumbnail_dark and auto_edit_attribution.
