What

WebFetch is the tool Claude uses to download web pages. Whether Claude Code sends those requests through its CCR proxy is now decided by the CLAUDE_CODE_WEBFETCH_USE_CCR_PROXY environment variable (a setting given to a program when it starts). Using Anthropic's own API directly is still required. Before, the choice was worked out from the state of the session.
