What

MCP servers, add-ons using the Model Context Protocol, can offer skills, saved sets of instructions. When Claude Code fetches that list, it now separates accepted skills from declined ones and keeps a reason for each one it declines, including when two skills share the same address. Previously, badly formed entries were counted and dropped without a reason.

The log message now reads "Listed N skills" from the server.

Why

It is easier to work out why a skill from an MCP server did not load.
