Unclear It is not clear what the per-session check tests, so it is unclear when notifications will now be sent or held back.

What

Claude Code has a tool that sends push notifications, alerts that reach you outside the terminal. Before sending, it checks whether a notification can be delivered. That check now looks at the current session (one conversation with Claude Code) instead of a single check shared by everything.

Why

This may change when a push notification is treated as deliverable.
