What
The step that resets certain permission settings when a skill runs is no longer tied to a server-controlled switch. That switch is gone from Claude Code entirely. The step now runs only when the session is a remote cowork session, for example when the environment variable CLAUDE_CODE_ENTRYPOINT is set to remote_cowork.
The same step now also requires that no dangerous command rule was stripped from the permissions.
Why
The server can no longer switch this behaviour on for any account, so outside remote cowork sessions it does not happen.
The flag server returned off for the account this site reads and for the anonymous baseline. A reading of off cannot rule out a rollout these two readings sit outside of.
This account: off · anonymous baseline: off · compiled default in v2.1.292: not a boolean we can read
These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.
