The extra flag that remote sessions started from the Claude desktop app used to need, tengu_violin_pegbox, has been removed. These sessions are the ones where CLAUDE_CODE_ENTRYPOINT is remote_desktop. They now follow tengu_violin_wood alone, the same as every other starting point. That flag is off unless it is switched on remotely.
A separate flag, tengu_violin_maple, now appears as an alternative way to turn on the same check. It is also off unless it is switched on remotely. It controls trusted-device enrollment, meaning registering this device as trusted for sessions, and the steps that recover that registration. This means trusted-device enrollment can be switched on without the other feature.
For desktop app users, one less condition stands between them and this feature. Enrollment can also now be rolled out on its own.
