Some tools can be served into a session from elsewhere, called remote tools. Before attaching them, Claude Code now checks a remotely controlled switch. If it is off, Claude Code stops and reports the reason as flag_off without loading any of the code that serves them. The switch is off unless it is switched on remotely. Before, that code was always loaded.
Remote tools stay unavailable unless your account has them switched on, and the reason they are missing is now reported plainly.
