What
A teammate is another Claude Code session started by your session to work alongside it. When one is started, or when its plan is approved, Claude Code works out which permission mode (how much it may do without asking you) the teammate should use.
autoPickedByLevel: the function that turns a permission mode into the teammate's command-line flags takes this new argument, false by default. It is passed on to the mapping from proactivity level to permission mode, which before took only the mode and the level. Both places that start teammates compute it from the session's permission settings.leaderAutoPickedByLevel: the function that works out a recipient teammate's permission mode during plan approval now takes this value and passes it, with the proactivity level, to the mode helper. Before, the helper took only the leader's mode and the proactivity level.- The flags emitted for each mode are unchanged; for example
bypassPermissionsstill becomes--dangerously-skip-permissions.
Why
The mode a teammate inherits may now differ depending on whether your session's auto mode was chosen for you by the proactivity level rather than by you.
