What
Claude Code has a new check for a suggestion-navigation feature aimed at screen-reader users. It applies only when screen-reader mode is turned on and a remote switch allows it. A remote switch is a setting Anthropic's servers can flip for an account. When the server sends nothing, the switch counts as off. Claude Code records when the feature is used.
Why
The feature is meant to let people who use a screen reader move through @-mention suggestions with the arrow keys. @-mention suggestions are the list that appears when you type @ to point Claude at a file.
