Unclear What exactly the condensed display shows, and what triggers it beyond these commands, is not clear.

What

When Claude runs a shell command, Claude Code can show a diff, a summary of how files changed. It now recognises git commands that can swap many files at once:

  • checkout and switch
  • stash, pull, merge and rebase
  • reset, restore and clean
  • cherry-pick and revert

After one of these, the diff is shown in a shorter, condensed form.

Why

The change display after these commands looks different from the display after ordinary commands.
