What
Two small changes to how Claude Code draws its terminal screen:
Pressing a key now clears any screen-reader announcements that were being held back and redraws the screen. A screen reader is software that reads text aloud, and the announcements are the messages it is given to speak.
Copying with a right-click now first takes down the current selection.
Claude Code also gains a way to hold screen-reader announcements for a moment and rewrite them before they are spoken. How it decides whether to use non-blocking terminal output, set with CLAUDE_CODE_NONBLOCKING_STDOUT or a remote setting, is unchanged.
Why
These are small fixes for accessibility and text selection. A screen reader user should no longer hear announcements that are out of date once they start typing.

tengu_event_loop_stallOff by default, switched on for this account
The shipped code defaults this off, and the flag server returned on for the one account this site reads on this version. That is the reading that makes the entry above worth a second look, and it still says nothing about your account.

These values were read against a different version of Claude Code, so treat them as the nearest reading available instead of one taken on this release.
Gate removed from the codev2.1.227 removed the tengu_event_loop_stall gate from the code while it was still reading on for the account this site reads. The code path no longer asks a flag before it runs.
