What

When Claude Code asks to run a shell command, it can suggest a rule that allows commands starting with the same words, called a prefix. Some commands now have a minimum number of words. If the prefix is shorter than that, Claude Code suggests no prefix. Before, it always offered the prefix it found.

Why

Suggested allow rules for commands such as git may become more specific, so a single approval covers fewer commands.
