What
When an attachment arrived empty, Claude Code used to put in the text "[attachment could not be downloaded]" in its place. That code now reads a server-controlled switch, tengu_violin_neck. It is off unless it is switched on remotely. What the switch controls cannot be seen from this change.
In readings taken before this release, the flag server returned tengu_violin_neck as on both for this site's account and for a baseline check made without an account.
Why
The old placeholder is gone from this part of the code, so it may now be handled somewhere else.

Feature flag
tengu_violin_neckOff by default, switched on for this account
The shipped code defaults this off, and the flag server returned on for the one account this site reads on this version. That is the reading that makes the entry above worth a second look, and it still says nothing about your account.
