What
Claude Code now records two more timing measurements for attachments: how long it waits for attached files, and a turn that starts before those files arrive.
The hidden edit-hook command refuses to run inside a child session (a Claude Code session started by another one). That refusal now goes through a shared check.
Why
The timings are for measuring how long attachments take to arrive.

The writer flagged doubtIt is not clear whether the shared check refuses in more cases than when `CLAUDE_CODE_CHILD_SESSION` is set.
